I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of progress in treatment. By fostering trust, empathy, and effective communication, I will meet you where you are and work with you to alter the negative dynamics in your life and promote change.
My approach is dynamic. I strive to offer a safe, non-judgmental place where individuals can be heard, understood, and supported. I utilize a variety of strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and a client-centered approach to help individuals understand the various factors that impact their thinking and ultimately their behaviour.
I have extensive experience in mental health, with a particular focus on working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and other life transitional issues. I also provide counseling to those individuals who have been in motor vehicle accidents.
