Elizabeth is a Registered Social Worker who obtained her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Toronto in 2009. She provides virtual psychotherapy in Ontario.
Elizabeth specializes in working with folks who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and/or chronic pain. She has many years of experience working with these issues and knows that they can sometimes leave you feeling isolated, burdensome, overwhelmed, and hopeless about the future. She uses evidence-based frameworks such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and mindfulness-based treatments, and she works collaboratively with her clients to find the approach most suited to them.
Elizabeth strives to be an ally to the BIPOC and LGBTQI+ communities and works from a trauma-informed, culturally safe perspective. She strongly believes that everyone is deserving of support, and she works with her clients to foster hope and resiliency and to increase their capacity to cope with life’s challenges.
